Why Epoxy..
•Epoxy Is Durable
The epoxy we use is very Durable and UV Resistant. Unlike Natural Stone, it Won't Fracture, Break, or Crack. Other countertop materials aren't so easy to fix when damaged & are sometimes even unrepairable.
•Scratch & Heat Resistance
It is Scratch and Heat Resistant. However, as with Any countertop surface, it Is Possible to Damage and Care needs to be taken. We suggest to Always use a Cutting Board for cutting/choping and a Hot Pad or Silicone Hot Mat.
•Drying Time
After the Last Coat, it will be Rock Hard, Cured (@ 75°- 80°) in 24 Hrs.
•Environmentally Friendly
The epoxy we use is environmentally friendly. It contains very low VOC (volatile organic compound),qualifying as a Green Building Material). It also does Not release Radon Gas (some Granite does).
• We can pour over just about Any Existing Surface
With Epoxy, we can use your existing surface to pour on. No ripping out countertops. Weather it be Formica, Ceramic Tile, Stainless Steel, Granite Tile, Granite, Marble, Quartz, etc., Plywood, Solid Surface, Corian, Concrete. It's just a matter of Prep Work for us.
• Lightweight
Considering Epoxy IS a Liquid and is able to be poured over your Existing Surface, there is hardly Any Added Weight to your countertops/ cabinets. Which makes it perfect for Motor Homes, Mobile Homes, Homes on Piers or Off the Ground and Older Homes.
•No Seams
With Epoxy, unlike Natural Stone, there are NO Seams. It is one continuous flow, NO Seams. It will also cover up just about Any existing damage/imperfections on countertops (some examples are...Burn, scorch marks,scratches, etc.)
•Look And Feel Of Polished Natual Stone
It has the look and feel of Polished Natual Stone. It is 100% Non Pourous and Never needs to be re-sealed. Its also an exceptional surface for Food Prep, which does Not provide Growth of Bacteria.
• Our Process
Our process is Very Different from that of installing Natural Stone. Different surfaces require different preparations. There is a good bit of Labor and a Great deal of Care that we put into Each and Every Job. We Love our Clients & our Job, which is what makes it easy to go that extra mile on some things that most Installers would Never do.
We go in, begin whichever prep work needs to be done in order for us to pour the epoxy. This could take 2-4 days. During our Prep work, in the event we come across any type of Wood Rot, (usually around the sink), unlike most countertop Installers, who will stop their job until You Replace the Wood Rot Yourself, Then continue with their job, we will Demo and Replace it before contiuing our Prep Work. There will be extra cost for us to Demo and Replace the area. Cost depends on what and how much needs to be done before we can proceed. After everything that needs to be replaced is done, our normal prep work can continue. Paper & Plastic are laid down to protect Floors & Cabinets. The final step in Prep work is done and Then, the Art Koat is Poured. The following day, the Clear Koat is Poured. In 24 Hrs your Beautiful Countertops will be Cured. That day, we will clean everything up & put you appliances back. When we leave, you will have Full Function of your Kitchen.
•Easy To Clean
Epoxy Countertops are Easy to Clean. You can use a few different cleaning products and methods to care for your new countertops, without damaging the surface. However, there are a few things to keep in mind.
• Do NOT use Any type of abrasive cleaning products or Scouring Pads, Soft Scrub, etc. They may dull or scratch the surface. In some cases abrasive cleaners may leave swirl marks.
• Do NOT use Any type of Bleach, Bleach Products. Bleach Will Leave It's Own Stain. It is a very ugly Yellow stain, that can Only be removed & repaired by sanding the entire countertop down & Repouring the Clear Coat. *** Our WARRANTY does NOT Cover this. This falls under Mistreatment of the Countertop. ***
•Do NOT Clean with Windex - No Amonia or acid based Cleaners. No Vinegar.
• Safe Cleaning Methods are to clean your beautiful new Countertops with Simple Green, or Meyers cleaner. Also, just plain soap and water are good to clean them too. To Disinfect, use 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, Rubbing Alcohol. * Your Countertops are Nonporous, so you don't have to disinfect as often as you would with Granite, Quartz, Tile, Wood, etc.*
• Try to avoid stains as much as possible. Of course, life does happen, so if something does spill on them, try and wipe it up with a soft cloth, paper towel, as soon as possible. If something does stain it, use Toatally Awesome to get it up with. Spray it on, let it sit for a few mins, & wipe up.
•Your Very Own Art Piece
Each client can design it with any colors you want. You can also be assured, every thing we do, is One of a Kind. No one will Ever have the same countertops as you do. There is absolutely No way, we can replicate something. It may be similar, but will Never look the same. Its Your very own Art piece.
• Backsplash & Accent Pieces
Complete your look with a Seamless, Full Backsplash. We can continue your design or change it up a bit with just the right amount of Contrast to pull everything together.
We can also complement your beautiful design with Accent pieces for the sides & fronts of your cabinets, gas fireplace, walls & some bathtub surrounds.
•Estimates
All Estimates are Free. We do NOT bid jobs by the Square Foot, but by the job itself. This is due to what/how much prep work needs to be done for each specific job. Along with if the client wants anything added to or taken out of, exp., addition of extra countertop space, a bar. Taking out countertop space for a stove, addition of a Farmhouse Sink, etc.
When we meet with you for your estimate, you will have your quote Before we leave. Your Quote will include.. All Materials, Labor, Removal of Sink, Stove, Refrigerator and Replacement of Sink, Stove, Refrigerator. At that time, if a new Sink is Desired, we can Replace it instead of your original. All Prep work, Preparation of Your Countertops, Laying Paper Down on Floors, Protecting Your Cabinets with Plastic. Then Clean Up. There are NO Extra Costs at the End of the Job. What you are Quoted at the time of the Estimate, Is What You Pay.
If the Decision is made to Hire Us, we Require Half Down of Your Quote, which will be used to buy the Materials Needed for Your Specific Job, along with however much epoxy is needed, which I will have Delivered to Your Location. The Half Down, Also Secures Your Place in Line of jobs we have. References can, will be given by request.
•Samples
A Sample will be made, Free of charge, if you'd like one, ONLY if we are hired by you, the Client. If you have several rooms we are doing and want something different for each, we will make one for each surface. From those Samples, we can discuss if anything needs to be added, taken away from. They will be made with the colors, ideas that you, the Client tell us, and of course, we are always here to help with color ideas, effects, techniques, etc. If any samples are desired after the first one, there will be a charge of $10.00/ Sample.
